History
Our Story
In 2014, following the prompting of the Holy Spirit, a compassion ministry team from Grace Covenant Church in Cornelius, NC interviewed community leaders and residents to identify practical programs that would lead to individual betterment and spiritual transformation.
The Neighborhood C.A.R.E. Center opened it’s doors in November of 2016 as a ministry of Grace Covenant Church. Under the care of this local church, the center grew and began meeting the needs of the people of Cornelius.
Because of the substantial reach the center was having the community, in 2024, the Neighborhood C.A.R.E. Center transitioned to an individual non-profit local ministry to expand its reach. This provided the center opportunities to partner with additional local churches and organizations, connecting those who want to help neighbors to those neighbors who want and need help improving their lives.
Since its inception, the Neighborhood C.A.R.E Center has reached more than…. delivered….meals, and helped more than…..families. Taught English to….people and supported more than….students in the community.
The center continues to be the hands and feet of Jesus to a community in need.
The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood.
